Calm, Enriching Countryside Adventures

Every Walk is a Happy Tail

More Than Just a Walk

At Happy Tails at Jasmine Cottage, every walk is more than exercise - it’s calm, enriching, and joyful.

Walks are fully tailored to your dog’s age, health, mobility, and personality, exploring Cheshire’s beautiful countryside with gentle stimulation, fresh air, and sensory experiences.

Puppies enjoy shorter, gentler walks with plenty of breaks and age-appropriate enrichment to build confidence. Senior dogs, or those with mobility needs benefit from shorter, steady-paced walks designed to keep them comfortable while still providing enjoyment, enrichment, and
reassurance.

Scenic Routes

Our walks take place in some of Cheshire’s most beautiful locations, including tranquil woodland trails, serene lakesides, and quiet bridleways. These routes offer plenty of opportunities for sniffing, exploring, and connecting with nature, ensuring your dog enjoys a truly enriching experience.

Safety and Comfort

Safety and wellbeing are our top priorities. Walks are supervised by insured, DBS-checked handlers, with a maximum of two to three dogs per person. We use positive reinforcement, respect your dog’s comfort, and provide ID tags, optional GPS tracking, and a fully stocked canine first aid kit. Walks are on-lead or off-lead with written consent for dogs with good recall.

Enrichment Options

For dogs who enjoy extra engagement, we offer a variety of enrichment activities, including scent trails, interactive toys, and optional short training sessions to reinforce recall or lead manners. Where suitable, safe water play - such as paddling, splashing, or exploring shallow streams - can also be included as part of their walk. Every walk is planned with care, ensuring your dog feels happy, secure, and loved while exploring nature.

One-to-One Adventures

Solo Dog Walks

Our solo walks are designed for dogs who are happiest, safest, or most comfortable walking on their own with their dog walker, rather than as part of a group. A solo walk may be recommended for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Dogs who are reactive to other dogs, people, or their surroundings.

  • Nervous, anxious, or easily overwhelmed dogs who benefit from one-to-one attention.

  • Owners who simply prefer their dog to have an individual walk.

  • Female dogs who are in season.

  • Senior dogs who need a gentler pace and extra care.

  • Dogs with health conditions, mobility issues, or medical requirements that make group walks unsuitable.

Every dog is different, and solo walks allow us to tailor the walk to your dog's individual needs, ensuring they enjoy a safe, stress-free, and enriching experience.

This service focuses entirely on your dog, providing dedicated attention, personalised exercise, and plenty of care and companionship throughout the walk.

Small Group Adventures

Group Walks

Our group walks are carefully planned and are only suitable for 2–3 compatible dogs, with a maximum of 3 dogs to 1 walker. We do not mix large numbers of dogs together, as our priority is ensuring every dog feels safe, comfortable, and enjoys their walk.

Before joining a group, we take the time to get to know each dog through detailed discussions with their owner, trial walks, and careful assessment of their personality, behaviour, and walking style. Safe introductions are carried out, and ongoing communication between ourselves and owners helps ensure the group remains a positive and suitable match for everyone involved.

These walks take place in a variety of natural environments, such as woodland trails, countryside footpaths, and open green spaces, allowing dogs to enjoy enriching sights, smells, and experiences. Please note that group walks are not conducted within a secure dog field, so all dogs must be suitable for this type of walking environment.

While a group walk may be booked, there may be occasions when no other suitable dogs are scheduled at the same time. In these circumstances, your dog will still receive their walk as planned, but it may be provided as a solo walk at no additional cost. We believe in carefully matching dogs rather than creating groups for the sake of numbers, ensuring every walk remains safe, enjoyable, and tailored to the dogs involved.

Our small group walks provide the perfect balance of social interaction, exploration, and exercise while still allowing each dog to receive plenty of individual attention. By keeping our groups small and carefully matched, we can create a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience for every dog.

Please note: If we feel a group environment is not the most suitable option for your dog, we may recommend our solo walk service instead, ensuring they receive the level of care, attention, and support that best meets their individual needs.

Trusted by Dog Owners

We are so pleased we found Happy Tails at Jasmine Cottage! From the first time we met Emma and Carl we knew that our little Mabel would be so well looked after On her first sleepover, Emma sent us plenty of photos and updates, and Mabel settled so quickly in their lovely home. We have already booked Mabel’s next visit. We couldn’t recommend them enough. Thank you both so much

Ellie Dwyer

So many positive thoughts about Happy Tails at Jasmine Cottage. I am confident that Emmett is in great hands with Emma & Carl- he has thoroughly enjoyed his walks with them, and made himself at home on a visit to Jasmine Cottage. Emmett is looking forward to lots more adventures with Happy Tails at Jasmine Cottage.

Laura Unitt

They have been amazing with Tyler, taking him on amazing walks around the village. In the time with him they have helped with his walking behaviour. As well as being consistent with times of walk with us.

Amazing couple and would recommend them.
